Advocate Health Care and Aurora Health Care provide placements for clinical rotations, preceptorships, and graduate studies. We serve medical assistants, CNA, LPN, undergraduate RN, RN to BSN, masters, and doctoral students. We also place Illinois inpatient nurse practitioner students.
- If interested in a Wisconsin Nurse Practitioner, CRNA, CNM, or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS-prescriber program) rotation, please contact Faith.Casselman@aah.org.
- Placement requests and student/instructor onboarding requirements are completed via myClinicalExchange.

When requesting clinical placement for groups or precepted students, it’s important to understand the deadlines for both traditional semester and trimester sequences.

Clinical site evaluation

Orientation information & resources
Inpatient instructor role orientation
New instructors must attend instructor orientation. All returning instructors must attend one session per year.
Instructor and student orientation
All instructors and students are expected to complete pre-site and on-site tasks. All items must be completed before entering our facilities.

Preceptor resources
Thank you for agreeing to precept a current nursing or Medical Assistant student at Advocate Health Care or Aurora Health Care. Preceptor responsibilities include attending meetings, completing orientation checklists, and developing relationships with instructors and students.
