Apply through ERAS
Residents are chosen through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Please apply through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS). You’ll need to submit the following documents:
- Personal statement
- Curriculum vitae (CV)
- Three letters of recommendation
- Medical school transcript
- Medical school performance evaluation (Dean’s Letter)
- USMLE or COMLEX transcript
- Photograph
- Current ECFMG status report (for international medical graduates)
Interview preference criteria
All applications will be reviewed by the recruitment committee, with interview preference given to applicants who:
- Passed USMLE/COMLEX Steps 1 and 2 on first attempt
- Graduated from medical school within the last two years
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- Are United States citizens or lawful permanent U.S. residents
Minimum interview criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following medical school graduation qualifications:
- Graduate of a medical school in the United States or Canada accredited by the Liaison Committee on Graduate Medical Education (LCME)
- Graduate of a college of osteopathic medicine in the United States accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
- Graduate of a medical school outside the United States or Canada that:
- Holds a current valid certificate from the Educational Council on Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) or
- Has a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a United States licensing jurisdiction in which they are training
Interview details
On the day of your scheduled interview, report to the main Radiology Department. You’ll have a formal interview with at least two of the staff radiologists, lasting about 30 minutes.
Following the interview, you’ll be introduced to one of our current Diagnostic Radiology residents, who will share their perspectives on our program and provide lunch and a tour of our department and facilities. We encourage you to speak with radiology staff and Diagnostic Radiology residents who cross your path during your tour.
If needed, complimentary accommodations at a nearby hotel will be provided. This includes transportation from the hotel to the hospital, as well as shuttle service to and from General Mitchell International Airport.
