Parking
There is plenty of parking around the hospital with separate lots available for each of the 4 main entrances. We also provide shuttle service to and from your parked vehicle during weekday hours.
Visiting hours
The main entrance is open from 6 a.m.- 6 p.m.
The emergency department is open 24/7.
Food service
The cafeteria is located on the ground floor of the hospital just off the main lobby. Hours of operation are from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Hot and cold entrées, sandwiches, salad bar, desserts and beverages are available. Microwaves and vending machines are located near the cafeteria and in visitor waiting areas.
Patients select their meal choices from a room service menu. Please review menu selections prior to calling ext. 3663 to place your order. If unable to locate your menu, call ext. 3663 for another; you or a family member may call to place food orders.
Breakfast is from 7:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and supper from 4:30 p.m.-6 p.m. Food brought in by family and friends cannot be stored in the unit refrigerators for infection control reasons. This food must be consumed when delivered.
The lobby gift shop offers snacks and specialty coffee during their normal hours.
Main waiting areas also provide free coffee and snacks.
General information
Valuables will be sent home with your family or placed in security.
Aurora Medical Center – Bay Area is a smoke-free campus. If you are interested in smoking cessation information, please let us know so that we can assist you.
ICU family waiting area
The ICU Family Waiting Area is located at the entrance to the unit on the 1st Floor. Quiet rooms, telephones and refreshments are available to make your visit more comfortable.
Facility hours
Main entrance:
Monday–Friday: 6 a.m.–6 p.m.
After hours and on the weekends and holidays all entry is through the emergency department entrance.
Emergency entrance:
Open 24/7
Visitors entering while the main entrance is closed will be directed to the emergency department entrance.
Spiritual care
Total patient care requires attention to the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of each patient. The Chaplain can be reached Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
The Chaplain assists you and your family in times of crisis. Trained to help patients, doctors, family members and staff with medical ethics issues, and also acts as liaison with local clergy.
The nondenominational chapel is open to patients and visitors 24 hours a day on the 1st floor near ICU.
Telephones
Telephones are available in patient rooms. For ICU patients, a designated spokesperson should contact the patient's nursing station to ask about his or her status.
Visiting with children
Children are welcome to visit. Family members must maintain continuous supervision of children at all times. Kids are not allowed to wander unattended or disturb other patients.
Any child with a communicable disease or obvious illness will be restricted from patient contact and areas.

The Aurora Bay Area gift shop is open for your convenience Monday through Friday and offers gift items including:

Caring for your health doesn't end when you leave the hospital. You often need specialized equipment and supplies.

Located in the main lobby, main waiting areas and the emergency department, our vending areas are open 24 hours a day with a variety of hot and cold food items, beverages and snacks.
