Visiting hours
We welcome visitors at any time.
Cafeteria
The cafeteria is located on the first floor near the main entrance.
Communication services
Our goal is to give every patient information in a way that he or she understands best. We offer services to all patients with limited English proficiency, deafness or difficulty hearing or seeing. Children under the age of 18 may not interpret for any family member at any time. Please ask your nurse if you feel these services may be helpful to you or your family.
Discharge
Your doctor will talk with you about your discharge date. If you have questions about your discharge, please ask your doctor or nurse.
Emergency drills
The hospital conducts many routine safety drills. You may see flashing lights or hear a series of bells or announcements that signal an emergency drill. During these drills your door may be closed. Please stay in your room unless told otherwise by nursing staff.
Lost
To prevent losing your personal items, please label them and keep them by your bedside table. These items can get lost if left in bedding or on food trays. If you lose something, tell your nurse right away. Our security staff will make every attempt to find your item. If we find an item after you leave, we will contact you for pick-up or delivery.
Medical equipment/electrical devices
For your safety, electrical devices or appliances may need to be checked out by our clinical engineering team. Please notify your nurse if you are bringing any of these items into the hospital.
Overnight accommodations
If family members need to stay overnight, we will try to provide on-site sleeping and shower accommodations. Ask your nurse for more details or for nearby lodging.
The Holiday Day Inn Express is just up the street and offers a special rate for Aurora. If you call for reservations, be sure to mention this offer. The Holiday Inn Express phone number is 920-303-1300.
To reach the hospital from the Holiday Inn Express, head left out of the parking lot at the hotel. You will see the hospital straight ahead of you. At the stop sign, turn left onto Westhaven Drive. Turn right into the hospital parking lot.
Pets
If you’re staying at an Aurora Medical Center for treatment, your dog can be brought in to visit with the permission of your care provider. Typically, dogs are the only pets allowed to visit, but you may ask your provider about other pets – the decision to allow other visiting pets is made on a case-by-case basis.
Ask your provider for details.

For your safety, our property is patrolled 24 hours a day by security officers and electronic surveillance. The security staff can escort you and your visitors to your cars at night if you would like.
