You’re ready to start your family but you can’t seem to make it happen. There are lots of different options out there that might be right for you, but in order to create your treatment plan, we need to get to the root of your infertility.

That’s why we start you with a simple fertility evaluation or consultation to help get an idea of all the factors that contribute to why you can’t seem to get pregnant. We’ll walk you through all your options and go from there.

Female fertility assessment

We run blood tests to evaluate your ovulation, ovarian reserve, infectious disease and overall health.

• Hysterosalpingogram (HSG): an X-ray examination of the uterus and fallopian tubes performed between days five through ten of your cycle. This test is used to determine if there are any fibroids, polyps or adhesions within your uterus, or blockages within the fallopian tubes.
• Sonohysterogram (SHG): an ultrasound examination that evaluates the lining of your uterus for any polyps or fibroids, it's performed between days five and ten of your cycle.

Additional tests may be necessary if you’ve had recurrent miscarriages, have been previously diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome or have other infertility concerns.

Male fertility screening

A semen analysis is necessary for all males undergoing a fertility evaluation. The sperm's quantity, motility and morphology are evaluated using Kruger Strict Morphology. This specific type of testing has been shown to have a clinical predictive value for the fertilization capabilities of the sperm. Blood and semen/urine cultures also are performed for infectious disease testing.
