Diagnostic Sonography program policies
Our program does not practice open enrollment or advanced placement. The program does not accept transferring of credits from another ultrasound program or credits from experiential learning. There is no waiting list. View our admission policies for more information. Applicants must achieve a minimum GPA on mandatory coursework as defined by the program.
Admissions
The purpose of our Admission Policy and Procedure is to establish a consistent system for the selection of students. The Policy addresses equal opportunity, the application process (including timeline, requirements, and assessment process), information about the personal interview, and what final selection is based on.

Applicants with foreign transcripts
In order to determine academic achievement, foreign applicants are required to have their transcripts evaluated by Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE).
- The student should inform ECE they are applying to Aurora St. Luke’s School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- ECE will review transcripts and determine the American equivalency; if necessary, ECE will make recommendations to prospective applicant
- Any costs associated with the transcript evaluation are the responsibility of the applicant

Health
Students are responsible for their own medical/dental care during the program and are encouraged to carry their own health insurance.
Housing
Each student is responsible for obtaining living quarters. A limited number of apartments may be available through the housing office of Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center.
