Adult substance abuse

Aurora Psychiatric Hospital works with some of the area's leading addictionologists and certified chemical dependency counselors to deliver the most effective and dynamic treatments.

Program philosophy

Alcohol Screening ToolAurora Behavioral Health Services offers a full range of treatment options for adults over the age of 18 who are struggling with chemical dependency issues. Our programs are designed to address individual needs to minimize relapse and maximize one's ability to live without the use of addicting drugs. We use addictionologists and certified chemical dependency counselors who are trained in the newest treatment techniques.

We believe that recovery begins with the desire to change. Our philosophy is that anyone who wants to change can change with an appropriate recovery program. Through a comprehensive assessment, our clinicians can match the person's needs and level of motivation with an effective treatment intervention. We place patients in the most appropriate level of care.

Inpatient services are often used to initiate recovery when medical detoxification is warranted. Partial hospital programming and other outpatient services offer intensive treatment alternatives that enable individuals to remain active in their lives. Our residential program also provides additional structure for patients who are having difficulty achieving abstinence.
