Services & treatments
At Aurora Health Care, we’re here to help you every step of the way from diagnosis to treatment, so you can get better faster. We provide minimally invasive techniques for hybrid ablation and heart valve replacement and we’re leaders in ventricular assist devices, heart pump implantation, and heart transplant.
How we assess your health
Many heart and vascular conditions are difficult to diagnose in a single medical examination. Some of the resources we use to get a picture of your heart health include:
- Diagnostic tools: We use a wide range of diagnostic tools, beginning with the most minimally invasive tests. We also have the latest technology, including 4-D ultrasound to visualize your heart in motion.
- Arterial blood gas analysis: Your doctor may order an arterial blood gas test, which measures the balance of carbon dioxide and oxygen in your blood and pH levels.
- Heart scans: These non-invasive scans reveal your risk for coronary heart disease.
- CT fractional flow reserve: Using your CT scan, this non-invasive heart test provides a digital 3D model of your coronary arteries. With trained specialists and powerful computer algorithms, this technology calculates how much each blockage limits blood flow to your heart. This test is available at many Aurora Health Care hospitals.
