Comprehensive classes
While babies don't come with an instruction book, Aurora Health Care Birthing Centers in Wisconsin offer a comprehensive series of classes that are both informative and engaging to help you take better care of yourself and your baby.

- Labor and birth
- This class will teach expectant parents what they need to know to prepare for childbirth, including anatomy, the process of labor and delivery, medical and non-medical care options, and more. There are a few options to choose from.
- Breastfeeding
- This course will help expectant mothers have a better breastfeeding experience by learning how to establish a healthy supply of milk; how to help the baby latch; how to know if the baby is getting enough milk; different breastfeeding positions and who to call if help is needed.
- Newborn care
- This class helps families prepare for their baby by covering the essentials of caring for the baby during the first few months, including feeding, diapering, bathing, comforting, sleep schedules, signs of illness, and when to call the baby's physician.
- Developmental Milestones
- This class will educate parents and parents to be on information regarding motor skills, language, and social skills for babies from birth to 12 months. Learn about repositioning the baby to limit head flattening, the use of various equipment, the importance of tummy time, and more.
- Car Seat Safety
- This class will teach expectant families about basic car seat safety, including facts, tips, and techniques for selecting and using a car seat. This class will also explain the different types of rear-facing infant seats and how to have the installation checked.
- Infant CPR
- This non-certification course teaches rescuer skills in CPR and relief from choking. It covers infants up to one year of age. The class is recommended for expectant parents, parents who are fostering, adopting, caregivers, and grandparents.
