Hearing screening and advanced testing
We provide audiology testing for people of all ages, including infants and people with special needs. All testing is performed in a sound booth with the latest equipment.
We offer a wide range of screenings and tests, as well as a variety of devices and aids such as:
- Adult hearing testing and hearing aids
- Bone-anchored hearing aids
- Custom earplugs
- Dizziness and balance testing
- FM systems
- Monitoring during surgical removal of acoustic tumors
- Newborn hearing screening follow-up

Hearing aid evaluation
If a hearing aid is recommended for you, we’ll guide you through your options and help you find a device that best meets your needs. Our goal is to help you feel comfortable and confident and build a lasting relationship with your doctor.

We’ll help ensure your hearing aid continues to do the best job for you and adjust as needed.
Universal newborn hearing screening
All babies born at Aurora hospitals are screened at birth for hearing loss. We work with nursery staff to make sure any newborns who may have hearing issues get timely testing and treatment.
Balance and vestibular screening
We work closely with physicians and physical therapists to ensure disorders associated with dizziness are accurately diagnosed and treated.
Some services aren’t offered at all Aurora Health Care locations. Contact your primary care doctor or audiologist for help finding the location that offers the services you need.
Specialty testing
We provide several advanced medical audiology testing options including:
- Auditory brainstem response (ABR)
- Acoustic reflex testing
- Electrocochleography (EcoG)
- Electronystagmography (ENG)
- Intraoperative monitoring
- Multiple auditory steady-state evoked response (MASTER)
- Otoacoustic emission testing (OAE)
- Videonystagmography (VNG)
Audiology programs
Our audiologists collaborate with other providers within and outside Aurora to bring audiology and hearing services to our community. We participate in education programs and education fairs to provide services such as free hearing screenings and counseling.
Hearing devices
Get help finding the right hearing aid or protective device. Our audiologists can help you choose from a wide range of options, such as:
- Hearing aids personalized to your needs, with a variety of manufacturers and price levels to choose from
- Assistive listening devices, such as telephone amplifiers, infrared systems for TV and personal FM systems
- Hearing protection devices, including customized devices for musicians, employees in loud environments and those who need to protect their hearing recreationally
- Custom earmolds for swimming, or for connecting to cell phones or personal communication or entertainment devices
