Residential treatment at the Dewey Center

At Aurora’s Dewey Center, you’ll find life-changing treatment in a comfortable setting. We provide comprehensive education, therapy and treatment for both individuals and family members — all designed to help you heal. Our extended residential treatment program is a 28-day, self-pay program for adults (18 and older) that can provide you with the clinical expertise and caring support you need to lead you down the road to recovery. If you or a loved one needs help, we’re available to take your call 24/7 — 365 days a year. Your privacy is important to us, so all calls remain anonymous. Call 414-454-6600 to get help.

For important but less urgent concerns, contact us through our online contact form. We’ll respond as soon as possible, usually within 1 business day, so you or your loved one can get help quickly.

If this is an emergency, call 911.

Your needs, your recovery

For many people suffering from a drug or alcohol addiction, sobriety can seem like an impossible goal. But know, recovery is never out of reach and change is possible. Especially with the right treatment, support, and by addressing the root cause of your addiction you can achieve a healthier lifestyle.

At the Dewey Center your treatment is a collaborative process. We treat you with respect, honor your perspective and build on the strengths you bring to recovery. Treatment is most effective when it uses your core values and goals that support a desire to change.

We also respect your independence. You’re responsible for your own decisions, but we’ll provide guidance.

Services

We see treatment as a collaborative process that treats clients with respect, honors their perspective, and builds on the strengths they bring to rehab and recovery.

The Residential Treatment Program at the Dewey Center’s proven approach to treating substance abuse and mental health conditions relies on three evidence-based techniques:

Motivational interviewing: Our team of specialists helps you identify your goals, values, and strengths — and help build your motivation to achieve recovery.
Cognitive behavioral therapy: You’ll develop skills to help you overcome addiction, rebuild a social support network, and effectively cope with life’s challenges.
Community reinforcement approach: You’ll join in recreational activities and social gatherings with friends and family to develop a positive atmosphere for healthy choices and positive support.
