Treatment options for substance abuse
Substance abuse is a complex problem that can affect every aspect of your life. Recognizing that you have a problem is the first step on your road to recovery. When you’re ready to make a change and willing to seek help, with the right treatment and support, you can regain control of your life.
At Aurora, we offer treatments for opiate addiction, alcohol abuse, and other types of substance abuse. Our Adult Substance Abuse Program and team of highly-trained, caring professionals provide a comprehensive network of education, assessment, treatment and referral services for you and your family members affected by alcohol or other substance-use disorders.
Substance abuse treatment approach
We understand that your path to recovery is unique. Our experienced professionals will develop a personal treatment program for you that takes into account your background, struggles and goals, and all of your medical and psychiatric conditions. With our help, you can put substance abuse behind you.
Our substance abuse programs recognize that substance abuse is a disease with biological, psychological and social causes. It varies in severity and complexity, involves aspects of personal choice, and progress is often complicated by relapse. We also know that substance abuse requires a range of interventions, so we offer:
- Access to day, evening and weekend programs to allow you to remain active in your daily routine
- Residential programs that provide treatment in a comfortable, healing setting
- Clinical detoxification and medications that may help ease your discomfort as you stop using substances
- Group and individual therapy that focuses on the psychological dependence and coping behaviors, rebuilding personal relationships and enhancing social support for recovery
Together we’ll develop the tools to lead you down the road to recovery.
