Aurora Center for Electrical Therapy of Heart Failure

Find a heart specialist

At the Aurora Center for Electrical Therapy of Heart Failure at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center, care is streamlined – we tailor treatment for your needs in a single visit. Our goal is to help you feel better and return to your normal activity, all while staying out of the hospital and spending less time in doctors’ offices.

We serve patients with symptomatic heart failure who have pacemakers and defibrillators, particularly biventricular/cardiac resynchronization devices. If not properly treated, heart failure can cause a stroke.

What are symptoms of heart failure, and what treatments are offered?

If you have heart failure, you might have symptoms such as:

  • Shortness of breath
  • Tiredness
  • Swelling or fluid retention in your legs
  • Abnormal heart rhythms

Devices like pacemakers and defibrillators can help improve or eliminate these symptoms, but you may also need cardiac evaluation, blood work, and imaging or reprogramming of your device. At our center, this process is easier and eliminates the need for you to visit multiple providers, hospitals or clinics.
