Inpatient mental health services
When the symptoms for a mental health issue or substance abuse problem become so severe that hospitalization is required, Aurora’s behavioral health services team can help. Aurora's adult inpatient treatment program offers round-the-clock care focusing on stabilization of mental health symptoms and safe detox from substances.
Goals for inpatient mental health care
Inpatient mental health care quickly stabilizes patients, preparing them for the next level of care. With professional, confidential treatment and caring support, we position patients for long-term recovery.
Inpatient services
Patients can expect personalized care from a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, doctors, therapists, nurses and case managers.
Every treatment plan is tailored to the needs and goals of the patient. A plan may include detoxification for those with addiction problems or medication for those with an unstable psychiatric state. Customized programs may also feature therapy, education and family counseling.
During an inpatient stay, the Aurora Behavioral Health team will develop a discharge transition plan with the patient that includes next steps for treatment.
We offer the following inpatient mental health services:
- Treatment for depression and anxiety
- Behavioral and mental health services
- Treatment for substance abuse
