Eye socket treatment

Find a doctor

Eye sockets, or sometimes called eye orbits, are the holes in the skull where the eyes sit. The ear, nose and throat specialists (ENTs) at Aurora are specially trained to treat health problems related to eye sockets, including:

  • Orbital fracture, or a break or crack in the bone that surrounds and protects the eye
  • Eye issues related to Graves’ disease (Graves ophthalomopathy, also known as thyroid-associated orbitopathy, or TAO)

Treatment options for eye socket disorders

Some of the surgeries that our ENTs perform include tear duct surgery (dachryocystorhinostomy, or DCR) and orbital decompression for Graves’ disease. Your doctor will discuss the appropriate treatment options for you, to get you back to feeling your best.
