Advanced multidisciplinary care
As part of our comprehensive care approach, our physical, occupational and speech therapists may collaborate with other specialists to better manage your treatment plan. To aid in recovery and healing from a neurological disorder or injury, your sessions may include advanced technologies such as:
- Augmentative communication systems: Tools, devices or strategies are introduced to help a person communicate when they cannot rely on speech.
- Electrical stimulation: Electrical current applied through electrodes placed on the injured area is used to strengthen muscles, block pain signals, and improve blood circulation.
- Harness-supported gait and balance training: Usage of a safety harness allows patients to practice movement and balance activities while being comfortably supported.
