Pregnancy care

Find a doctor

Comprehensive gynecological care is the most important step to preserving your fertility and ensuring a healthy pregnancy. Our OB-GYNs are your partner before, during and after pregnancy.

For women with high-risk pregnancies, Aurora Health Care has the largest group of maternal-fetal medicine doctors in Wisconsin. They provide an extra level of care when you need it.

Your pregnancy partner

You can feel confident choosing Aurora for pregnancy care – our women’s health specialists deliver more than 12,000 babies in Wisconsin every year.

Count on your Aurora OB-GYN to:

  • Help you plan your pregnancy
  • Give conception and fertility advice
  • Perform prenatal testing and procedures, including fetal heart monitoring and fetal ultrasound
  • Provide genetic counseling and testing to give you information about health concerns that run in your family
  • Help you safely manage any existing conditions you may have through your pregnancy
  • Help you maintain a healthy lifestyle during your pregnancy
  • Help with high-risk pregnancy and complications
  • Help you create a birth plan that’s right for you, including identifying a convenient birthing center and/or midwife services
  • Offer maternity and parenting resources, including childbirth and parenting classes, and lactation consulting

Support after baby arrives

After you’ve arrived home with your baby, one of our nurses will contact you. They’ll discuss what to expect after delivery and coach you through the post-pregnancy stage, including how to have success with breastfeeding.

Aurora has one of the largest groups of pediatricians in Wisconsin. During your pregnancy, your Aurora OB-GYN can help you find a pediatrician who can care for your little one from the day they arrive.

Parenthood is wonderful but often overwhelming. Our nurse will be on the lookout for signs of postpartum depression, sometimes referred to as the “baby blues.” This condition can cause symptoms such as loss of appetite, insomnia or feelings of anxiousness, guilt or intense irritability.

If you show any signs, reach out to your OB-GYN or contact a behavioral/mental health specialist.
