Telehealth & urgent care video visits
Get care from the comfort of home.
You’ve got a sore throat and you’re sneezing – a lot. You want to get relief from your symptoms but you’re not feeling well enough to leave the house. That’s where video visits can help.
With video visits, you can get care from a provider just like an in-person visit without the trip to a clinic or your doctor’s office. With Quick Care Video Visits, you can get 24-hour virtual urgent care for minor illnesses like sinus infection, cold or flu. Or get care from the team you know by scheduling a video visit with your own provider.
Our urgent care video visits, which Aurora calls Quick Care Video Visits, are an option for kids ages 2 and up and adults. Just like an in-person visit, you can see a telemedicine provider quickly for diagnosis and treatment for common, nonurgent symptoms related to minor illnesses.
Most Quick Care Video Visits are billed to your insurance. If you don’t have insurance, you’ll receive a statement detailing your financial responsibility. See our FAQ to learn more.
We're also able to provide Quick Care Video Visits if you have Medicare or Medicaid as your primary or secondary insurance.

When you want care from the team you know and trust, you can call your provider’s office to schedule a video visit. It's just like the care you receive in the office – minus the trip. Some appointments, like wellness exams, need to be in person. Ask your provider if a video visit is right for your situation.
A video visit with your primary care provider, specialist or another member of your care team will be billed to your insurance and is subject to any coinsurance, copay or deductible – just like an in-person visit. If you don’t have insurance, you’ll receive a statement detailing your financial responsibility.
Both types of video visits provide a convenient alternative to making a trip to urgent care or your provider’s office. Quick Care Video Visits offer 24-hour virtual urgent care for minor illnesses with the next available online doctor. Or you can schedule a video visit with your own provider during office hours. Whichever type of video visit you request, our virtual care providers are here to help you feel better from wherever you are.
The difference between telehealth and urgent care video visits is that telehealth refers to all types of online health care. Telehealth visits may include video visits, visits by phone or e-visits (diagnosis and treatment recommendations sent via email).
At Aurora, we offer two types of video visits: urgent care video visits (called Quick Care Video Visits) and video visits with your provider.
Since there’s no physical exam, be prepared to answer a lot of questions. The detailed questions the telemedicine provider asks will help them better understand your symptoms so they can make a diagnosis and treatment plan to help you feel better.
Depending on your diagnosis, you might need to come in for lab tests such as a strep test. Likewise, your treatment plan could include picking up medication.
You can use Quick Care Video Visits for minor illnesses or concerns you might usually take to an urgent care office. Quick Care Video Visits for ages 2 and older (unless otherwise noted) cover this set of conditions and symptoms.

Pediatric conditions and symptoms:
If you’re 18 or older and physically located in Illinois, Wisconsin or Michigan, you can request a video visit.
You also can request video visits for kids ages 2-17 if you’re their legally authorized representative. For the video visit, the child must be present and visible with you for the duration of the appointment.
Since kids younger than 2 years old still need to be seen by their own provider, you can call your child’s pediatrician to schedule a video visit or an in-person appointment instead.
For minor children between the ages of 12-17 years old, you must have proxy access to their LiveWell account. When you submit a video visit on behalf of a minor, you must use their proxy account. Don't use your own account to request a video visit for your dependent. Learn more about proxy/dependent care.
When you do a video visit from your LiveWell account, we keep your personal information safe and secure. These video visits feature enhanced telehealth security measures to ensure only you and your provider have access to your video visit.
